Meet Roland Andrews: A Devil to Cover

We sat down and got to know Roland Andrews.

Andrews is a speedy 2023 wide receiver out of Winter Haven, Fla.

As he prepares for the most important year of his high school career. At Winter Haven High School, he’ll be learning a new system for the Blue Devils and making sure he excels in the classroom.

We asked him a few questions.

1. Between now and your senior year, what is your No. 1 goal?

First, I want to pass high school with a 3.0-3.5 grade-point average.

2. If you had to compare your style to an NFL/college player, who would be the closest to your style?

My style is kind of a mixture of CeeDee Lamb and Jamar Chase.

3. What major/degree are you hoping to pursue in college?

I want to pass with my degree in sports administration and mainly, exercise science.

4. Favorite football memory?

Scoring in my first three games of last season.

5. Have you visited any college camp yet?


6. Do you plan on going to any camps next summer?

Yes, I do.

7. How has COVID-19 affected your football career?

Well, it had stopped the offseason grind with my teammates. (I) still hit the weight room and worked on my feet.

8. Do you plan on enrolling early when it is time to attend college?

Yes, indeed.

9. Obviously the NFL is the ultimate goal; besides that, what do you want to do post-college career?

I want to be an athletic trainer or start my own business.

10. What is a fact about you that most do not know?

That I’ll do just about anything to succeed in football.

11. Who was your role model growing up?

Odell Beckham Jr.

12. What is your favorite drill to do in practice?

Either scrimmages or 1-on-1s.

13. What is your favorite meal?

I like pasta and Chinese food.

14. What are some of your hobbies besides football?

I play basketball and run track.

15. What is one thing you love about your hometown?

It’s a small town, so I can get to know others easily.

16. Do your parents care where you go to school, meaning do they mind you being far from home to achieve your dream?

No, my people will be hurt but they will let me go anywhere to pursue my dreams as a college and professional football player.

17. Do you have a dream school?

Florida State, South Florida, UCF, Alabama and Georgia.
